Since year 2005 to December 2011 NOCA worked as a leading Indian certification agency which provided independent third-party certification services to agriculture and allied industries. Till December 2011 NOCA was involved in inspection and certification of organic productions as per USDA –NOP and NPOP standards. From December 2011 the inspection and certifications activities have been transferred to Natural Organic Certification Agro Pvt. Ltd.

NOCA is accredited by Agriculture and Processed food products and Export Development Authority (APEDA) under ministry of commerce, Govt. of India for carrying out inspection and certifications according to NPOP (National Program for Organic Production) and operates from its headquarter at Pune Maharashtra State of India.

It operates under ISO/IEC/17065:2012, General requirements for bodies operating product certification systems and accredited by APEDA for carrying out the inspections and certifications according to NPOP

As a member of prestigious national and international organizations such as IFOAM, EOCC, OFAI, OASI, and MOFF, NOCA offers a global perspective. NOCA has subcontracted NABL accredited and ISO/IEC 17025 certified laboratories for testing of organic products.
